Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, calling for the records relating to the detenue's detention order passed by the 2nd respondent dated 12.10.2017 in No.627/BCDFGISSSV/2017 and set aside the same and produce the detenue Thiru Siva, male aged about 26, Son of Selvam, now detained in Central Prison-II, Puzhal, Chennai before this Hon'ble Court and set him at liberty. 1. The petitioner is the father of the detenu, namely, Siva, S/o.Selvam, male, aged about 26 years. The detenu stands detained by the second respondent by virtue of his order bearing No.627/BCDFGISSSV/2017 dated 12.10.2017, wherein, he has been held to be a "Goonda", within the meaning of Section 2(f) of the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

1.1. The said order is under challenge in this Habeas Corpus Petition.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that the said order of detention, passed by the second respondent against the son of the petitioner has been revoked by the Government in G.O.Rt.No.5866, Home, Prohibition & Excise (XIII) Department dated 12.12.2017; a copy of the order has also been produced.
