W.P No.23826 of 2010:- Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent not to give effect to the order passed by him in G.O.MS.No.1081 dated 19.8.89 till the promotion of the petitioner and consequently direct the respondents to promote the petitioner to the post of Instructor with effect from the date of promotion given to the candidates as per G.O.MS.No.95 Higher Education (C1) Department dated 26.03.08 following the order of the Honourable Division Bench in W.A.Nos.207/2002, 208/2002, 258/2002, 259 of 2002 and 1039 of 2006 dated 01.08.2007 and with all monetary and service benefits. J U D G M E N T

[Judgment of the Court was delivered by K.K. SASIDHARAN,J.] The learned Additional Government Pleader on instructions submitted that during the currency of this appeal, the respondent submitted an application for voluntary retirement. The application was considered favourably by the appellants and the respondent was permitted to retire voluntarily by proceedings dated 22 December 2014.

2. In view of the subsequent events, nothing survives for adjudication in this intra court appeal.
