ORDER

This Court, by an order dated 6.1.2014, in W.P.No.34383 of 2013, has passed the following order:- " In view of the foregoing facts and circumstances and having regard to the ratio laid down by the Hon'ble Supreme Court, this writ petition is disposed of, directing the respondent to conclude the disciplinary proceedings finally within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In case, the respondent does not conclude the disciplinary proceedings within the said period, the petitioner should be considered forthwith for promotion without reference to and without taking into consideration the charges or the pendency of the said enquiry, if he is found fit for promotion. However, it is made clear that the promotion so made, if any, pending enquiry shall, however, be subject to review after the conclusion of the enquiry and in the light of the findings in the enquiry.

No costs.

Consequently, connected MP is closed. "

Since the said order has not been complied with, within the specified time, the present contempt petition has been

filed.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent submitted that as per the direction of this Court, the disciplinary proceedings were completed even before the order of promotion. Thus, the order of this Court has been complied.

3. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has also admitted the same.

4. Since the order of this Court has been complied with, I am of the opinion, nothing survives in this contempt petition and hence, the contempt petition is closed.
