ORDER

This Court, by an order dated 7.1.2016 in Crl.O.P.No.304 of 2016, directed the respondent herein to conduct an enquiry on the complaint given by the petitioner and upon enquiry, if the materials are gathered indicating

any cognizable offence, he was directed to proceed further in accordance with law. Since the said order has not been complied with, the present contempt petition has been filed.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent submitted that pursuant to the order passed by this Court, an enquiry was conducted on the complaint given by the petitioner and it was closed as 'mistake of fact'. He has also given a copy of the closure report to the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner. Thus, he has submitted that the respondent has complied with the order of this Court.

3. Since the order of this Court has been complied with, I am of opinion, nothing survives in this contempt petition. Hence, the contempt petition is closed. However, if the petitioner is aggrieved over the said order passed by the respondent, she is at liberty to challenge the same in a manner known to law, if she is so advised.
