Respondents PRAYER: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents especially the 2nd respondent to incorporate the name of the petitioner as owner in all Revenue Records in respect of land measuring an extent of 4389 sq.ft. comprised in Survey No.92/2A1G5 of Neelangarai village, Sholinganallur Taluk, Kancheepuram District as per representations dated 11.01.2016, 08.12.2016 and legal notice dated 31.01.2017.

Mr.R.Govindasamy, learned Special Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3. The petitioner seeks for a direction to the 2nd respondent to incorporate the name of the petitioner as owner in all Revenue Records in respect of land measuring an extent of 4389 sq.ft. comprised in Survey No.92/2A1G5 of Neelangarai village, Sholinganallur Taluk, Kancheepuram District by considering his representations dated 11.01.2016, 08.12.2016 and the legal notice dated 31.01.2017. The grievance of the petitioner is that the said representations have not been disposed of so far.

4. Needless to say that the 2nd respondent is to consider the said request of the petitioner and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law without loss of further time. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of without expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner only with a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 11.01.2016 and 08.12.2016 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law after giving due opportunity of hearing to the rival claimants, if any. Such exercise shall be done by the 2nd respondent within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
