PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, seeking Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.11.2020. For Petitioner : Mr.K.Shyam Sunder For Respondent : Mrs.N.Mala Government Pleader (Puducherry)

O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.11.2020.

2. The case of the petitioner is that he was previously holding a family card in the name of his mother Vaikundavalli vide Card No.443942 in Shop No.00214BPL. Due to old age, the petitioner's mother died on 23.09.2017. Thereafter, the petitioner made a representation dated 09.11.2020 requested the respondent to issue a ration card in his name. No action was taken so far. Therefore, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court seeking appropriate directions.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court may direct the respondent to consider the representation ad issue a family card in the name of the petitioner within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. The learned Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondent submitted that the representation will be considered and orders will be passed in accordance with law within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

5. Heard the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondent. Perused the materials available on record.

6. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and also of the fact that the petitioner has no other legal dependent, there shall be a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.11.2020 on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 7.The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
