ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 4(1)(aaa) and 4(1-A) of TN Prohibition Act in Crime No.87 of 2022, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The petitioner is an absconding accused in a case of seizure of liquor bottles transported from the Puducherry. The petitioner travelled along with two others in a TATA Ace van carrying 1152 bottles of Blue Grape Brandy 180 ml each, 48 bottles of Mc Dowells Brandy 180 ml each and 105 litres of ID Arrack and fled from the scene of occurrence along with another lady by name Kumari. Their identity was disclosed by Ramesh, who was apprehended by the police and who drove the TATA Ace vehicle.
