Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to grant marks to the answers of the question No.7 and 24 of the B type question paper issued to the petitioner in the written examination conducted on 26.08.2023 & 27.08.2023 based on the text book prescribed to the 6th 1/5

standard Social subject and 11th Standard History subject published by the Tamil Nadu Text Book Corporation.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction directing the second respondent to grant marks to the answers of the question Nos. 7 and 24 of the B Type question paper issued to the petitioner in the written examination conducted on 26.08.2023 and 27.08.2023.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. The petitioner is employed as Grade-I Constable at DCB, Perambalur, Tamil Nadu Police Service. While she is in-service, a notification dated 05.05.2023 issued by the second respondent for direct recruitment to the post of Sub Inspector of Police-2023 (Taluk, Armed, 2/5

Reserved and Tamil Nadu Special Police-Men, Women and Transgender), the petitioner applied for the said post. The method of recruitment consists of Written Test, Certificate Verification and Medical Test, Viva Voce and Special Marks for NSS/NCC/Sports Medals in National Police Duty.

4. While being so, the petitioner had attended the written examination on 26.08.2023 and 27.08.2023 and he scored 63.50 marks in the written examination and qualified for certificate verification. The petitioner's certificates were verified and she was also selected for viva-voce. Thereafter, the petitioner was not selected as per the provisional selection list, after having been participated in the vivo-voce, now the petitioner challenged the answer keys of the question Nos.7 and 24 of the B Type question paper as if the answer keys are not correct for the said questions. Immediately, after examination, the answer keys was issued by the respondents. However, the petitioner did not raise any objections. After not having been selected to the post of Sub-Inspector of Police, now the petitioner challenges the the answer keys of the question Nos.7 and 24 of the B Type question paper. That apart, the entire selection process was over and the selection list has been issued for the selected candidates. 3/5

5. Therefore, the writ petition is devoid of merits and it is liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. No costs. 06.03.2024 (1⁄2) Index:Yes/No Speaking Order: Yes Lpp To
