N.Raghavan ... Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 herein to pass appropriate orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 16.01.2019 in the matter of timings and programmes during annual Sri Rama Navami Festival and other annul and monthly festival in Arulmighu Karpagavinayagar Kantha Perumanar Aalayam situated at East Tambaram, Chennai-59.

For Petitioner :

Mr.D.Rajagopal For Respondents :

Mr.M.Maharaja Special Government Pleader

O R D E R

The petitioner seeks for mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 3 to pass appropriate orders on the representation of the

petitioner dated 16.01.2019, wherein and whereby, he sought for conducting annual Sri Rama Navami Festival and other annul and monthly festival in Arulmighu Karpagavinayagar Kantha Perumanar Aalayam, East Tambaram, Chennai-59, by strictly adhering to the timings fixed.

2. Heard Mr.D.Rajagopal, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.M.Maharaja, learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents 1 to 3.

3. Admittedly, for the present year, the Temple festival invitation for Sri Rama Navami Festival has not been made ready. Even before seeing such invitation and the timings fixed therein, the petitioner is apprehending as if the official respondents will not adhere to the timings.

4. I do not think that the petitioner's apprehension should be appreciated as a reasonable one, since it goes without saying that the authorities who conduct the festival by printing the invitation, will try to adhere to the timings fixed therein as for as possible practically. If some minor deviation or variation takes place, that cannot be a reason for making complaint against conducting such festival. Therefore, I find that the present writ petition is totally mis-conceived and premature. Accordingly, this writ petition fails and the same is dismissed. No costs.
