ORDER

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an agricultural officer who was to distribute maize seeds at free of cost to the

farmers. The case is projected against her as though the surprise check was conducted and at that time some cash was found in the table drawer and which has been projected as 10 Kgs of maize seeds were sold to a farmer for consideration. He further submitted that there is also a Government Order No.118 of 2014, it states that the farmers who do not come under the scheme, maize seeds can be sold to them.

2.It is his submission that in a similar circumstance, 153 officers were charged and the Government had later dropped the cases against them, and citing this reason, he filed a quash application before this Court in Crl.O.P.No.26924 of 2024 and this Court vide order dated 18.06.2025, considered the same and directed the Investigating Officer to dispassionately consider the averments made by the petitioner and thereafter to file a final report in accordance with law. It is almost nine months thereafter, till date final report in this case has not been filed. Hence, filed this petition seeking a direction to the 1st respondent to file the final report in Crime No.3 of 2024, since the pendency of the above case has jeopardized his official career and his personal life.

3.The learned Government Advocate submitted that pursuant to the order passed by this Court in Crl.O.P.No.26924 of 2024, considering the petitioner's averments, now investigation has been completed and the final report is made

ready and it has been sent to the Directorate of Agricultural Department on 11.02.2026 for sanction. If sanction is accorded, final report will be filed in this case and seeks four months time.

4.In view of the above, this Court finally grants a further period of four

(4) months time.
