O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking a direction to the respondents to consider and dispose of his representation dated 19.07.2017, wherein the petitioner has requested for transfer from from PalavakkamKEDC/Kancheepuram/TANGEDCO to Metro Zone Sub Station / Koyambedu / Chennai Electricity Distribution West circle.

2. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that while the petitioner was serving at Otteri Sub Station, Chennai Central, as Junior Engineer Grade II, he was transferred

to Tiruverkadu Sub Station, Chennai West. Thereafter, he was promoted as Junior Engineer Grade I on 18.07.2016 by order dated 02.07.2016 passed by the 2nd respondent and posted at Palavakkam, KEDC/ Kancheepuram in Operation and Maintenance Department. At that time, he suffered Cardiac Problem and immediately, he was admitted in Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre at Porur, Chennai, as an inpatient on 02.02.2017 and underwent cardiac surgery for Offpump Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting - Lima to Lad SVG to OM, SVG to LPDA on 13.02.2017. After surgery, he was discharged from the hospital on 20.02.2017 and the Doctor asked him to take complete rest. Since the petitioner has been taking treatment from Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre, Porur, due to cardiac complaint, he submitted an application to the 2nd respondent on 19.07.

2017 seeking to transfer him from Palavakkam / Kancheepuram Electricity Distribution Circle to Ayapakkam Sub Station / Chennai Electricity Distribution Circle / Chennai West or Metro Zone Sub Station / Koyambedu. Subsequently, he has sent various representations, but till date, the respondents have not come forward to consider the same. Therefore, a direction may be issued, he pleaded.

3. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the documents available on record.

4. This Court is unable to find any merit in the Writ Petition. The reason is, petitioner has not been transferred to a far off place, moreover, earlier, he has been promoted as Junior Engineer Grade II and transferred to Tiruverkadu Sub Station, Chennai West from Otteri Sub Station, Chennai Central and thereafter, he was promoted as Junior Engineer Grade I on 18.07.2016 and posted at the present place, namely, Palavakkam, KEDC/ Kancheepuram in Operation and Maintenance Department. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to entertain this Writ petition and the same fails. In fine, Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs.
