J U D G M E N T

(Judgment of the Court was made by R.SUBRAMANIAN, J.) We see no merit in the appeal. Admittedly, the Revisional Authority has held that the petitioner was not responsible for the non-maintenance of registers therefore, the petitioner cannot be held liable for the fine imposed by the Reserve Bank for non-maintenance of the register.

2. The learned single Judge has only directed payment of the retiral benefits of the petitioner with interest at 6%. Upon conclusion of the disciplinary proceedings in favour of the petitioner in the writ petition, the consequence is automatic. Therefore, retention of retiral benefits by the Bank cannot be sustained.

3. Hence, we do not see any reason to interfere with the order of the writ Court, This Writ Appeal, fails and it is accordingly, dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. (R.S.M., J.) (G.A.M., J.) 21.03.2025 kkn Index: No Speaking order To:
