M.Balasubramaniam v. Federal Bank Ltd
C.M.P.No.5547 of 2019 in C.R.P. SR No.59907 of 2017 THE HON'BLE CHIEF JUSTICE and M.DURAISWAMY, J.
(Order of the Court was made by M.Duraiswamy, J.) There is a delay of 548 days in representing the papers. Though notice sent to the sole respondent has been duly served and the name of the respondent has been printed in the cause list, none had entered appearance for the respondent. Though the petitioner has satisfactorily explained the reason for the delay of 548 days in representing the Civil Revision Petition, since the delay is on the higher side, this Court is inclined to impose costs.
3. Accordingly, the delay of 548 days in representing the Civil Revision Petition in C.R.P. SR No.59907 of 2017 is condoned on condition that the petitioner shall pay a sum of Rs.2,500/- (Rupees Two Thousand Five Hundred only) to the Hon'ble Chief Justice Relief Fund within a period of one week from today. The petition is ordered accordingly.
