Mr.B.Anandan, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner seeks for a mandamus directing the third respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner under the Right to Information Act, 2005, in SA.No.2420 of 2017 dated 28.03.2017.

3. The grievance of the petitioner before this Court is that the said appeal has not been disposed of by the third respondent so far. This Court, at this stage is not expressing any view on the merits of the appeal, as it is for the third respondent to consider and decide the same. Thus, this writ petition is disposed of, only by directing the third respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 28.03.2017 on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the petitioner and the other interested parties, if any. Such exercise shall be done by the third respondent, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
