This Civil Revision Petition has been preferred seeking a direction to dispose of O.P.No.49 of 2019 pending on the file of the II Additional District Court, Salem within a prescribed time limit. Page No.1/4

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the respondent and also perused the materials available on record.

3. The revision petitioner is the father of the minor child Nithin, who filed G.O.P.No.49 of 2019 against the respondent/mother seeking custody of his minor child. The petition is said to be pending for more than three years.

4. Taking into consideration of the emotional factors involved in this matter and also in the interest of the minor child, it is appropriate to impress the learned II Additional District Judge, Salem to dispose the matter as expeditiously as possible. It is understandable that due to COVID-19 pandemic situation, the proceedings cannot be progressed in a phased manner. Since the situation has improved now, it will be appreciable, if the trial Judge bestows his best attention to dispose of the matter as expeditiously as possible.

5. In view of the above, this Civil Revision Petition is disposed of. The learned II Additional District Judge, Salem is directed to dispose O.P.No.49 of 2019 as expeditiously as possible. No costs. 05.07.2022 Index:Yes No Speaking Order:Yes/No ms To The II Additional District Judge, Salem.
