ORDER

This Court, by order dated 26.02.2014 in W.P.No.5354 of 2014, has disposed of the Writ Petition, directing the respondent herein to conduct enquiry on the representation, dated 30.12.2013 submitted by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders, by taking note of the observations made in the judgment of this Court, cited therein, which is reported in 2004 (2) L.W. 339 (All India Indian Overseas Bank Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribe Employees' Welfare Association, represented by its General Secretary, P.Ganesan Vs. The District Registrar, Registrar of Societies and others), within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order. This Court also observed that before passing any orders on the representation, reasonable opportunity shall be given to the third respondent therein to put forth his case. Since the said direction of this Court has not been complied with, the petitioner has filed the present Contempt Petition.

2. Today, when the Contempt Petition is taken up for hearing, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent submitted that the respondent has considered the said representation and passed orders on 15.02.2016, rejecting the representation of the petitioner. Since the order of this Court had now been complied with, nothing survives for consideration in this Contempt Petition, which

is accordingly closed. If the petitioner-Association feels aggrieved by the said order of the respondent, dated 15.02.2016, they are at liberty to challenge the same in the manner known to law, if they so desire.
