The petitioner who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Section 4(1) (a) and 4(1)(h) of Tamilnadu Prohibition Act in Crime No.95 of 2024, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. It is stated that the petitioner was in possession of 08 packets of Carnival XXX Rum each weighing 180 ml and 06 packets of legacy XXX Rum each weighing 90 ml.

3. The learned Government(Crl side) stated that there are 13 previous cases pending the petitioner which are similar in nature.

5. In view of that particular fact, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail at this stage. Hence, this Criminal Original petition is dismissed.
