The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 06.01.2023 for the offences punishable under Sections 120(b), 420 IPC and 66D of IT Act and Sections 20. 21, 25 of T.Graph Act, in Crime No.01 of 2023, on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.
2. The case of the prosecution is that, while the defacto complainant obtained the hand loan in online phone apps, for that, she made all dues, but the unknown persons continuously tortured with her and demanded to pay extra money by blackmailing with personal details. Hence, the complaint.
3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he came to Thirupur to meet one of his friends for that he was added as accused and he has been falsely
implicated in this case and he has not committed any such offence as alleged by the prosecution. He further submits that he has been suffering incarceration from 06.01.2023. Hence, he prays to grant bail to the petitioner.

Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that the petitioner herein is arrayed as A4 and while the defacto complainant obtained hand loan in online phone apps and she also made all dues, but the unknown persons continuously tortured with her and demanded to pay extra money by blackmailing that her photo was published in social media. He further submits that the petitioner belongs to other district and if the petitioner is released on bail, he will threaten the defacto complainant. Hence, he vehemently opposed to grant bail to the petitioner.
5. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) and perused the materials available on record.
6.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the gravity of the offence, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
7.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
