Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a direction in the nature of Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records from the second respondent and quash the extension of suspension ordered vide proceeding R.C.140/C/2011 dated 13.08.2012 and R.C.No. 140 dated 15.10.2012 respectively and consequently direct the respondent 1 to 2 to extend the benefits arising there from. Today, 14.03.2024, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate for second respondent submitted that the petitioner is reported dead on 28.06.2013 and he also submitted the death certificate issued by the Department of Municipal Administration & Water Supply and the Registrar of Births and Deaths, Salem City Municipal Corporation dated 03.07.2013.

2. In view of the above submission made by the learned Government Advocate for second respondent, this writ petition is dismissed as abated. No costs.
