ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 10.02.2021 for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 120(B), 420 of I.P.C, in Crime No.140 of 2020, on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2.Totally there are 2 accused in this case and the petitioner herein is A2. The case of the prosecution as per defacto complainant is that one person by name John/A1 introduced the petitioner by stating that he is a close relative of the Chief Minister and they will secure job in Corporation of Chennai. Thereafter, the petitioner and the said John demanded Rs.13,00,000/- to secure a job in Corporation of Chennai and they also received a sum of Rs.13,00,000/- from the defacto complaiant. After receiving the said amount the petitioner and the said John neither secured the job nor returned the amount. Hence, the complaint.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submits that that the main allegation is against A1/John and he has received the amount. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that the petitioner along with other accused said to have received a sum of Rs13,00,000/- from the defacto complainant with a false assurance that they will secure Assistant Engineer job in Corporation of Chennai. After receiving the said amount the petitioner and the said John neither secured the job nor returned the amount. He further submits that there are 10 previous cases pending against the petitioner. Hence she vehemently opposed for grant of bail to the petitioner.

5.Considering the facts of the that there are 10 previews cases pending against the petitioner and also considering the gravity of offence committed by the petitioner this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
