Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to forthwith remove all illegal encroachments and unauthorised constructions existing in the 20 feet wide public pathway running in between and abutting Survey Nos.7/9A1B2, 7/10A2, 7/1A2A2, 7/1A2B1,7/1A2B2, 7/1A1A2, 7/A22, 7/1A1B1A, 7/1A1B1B, 7/23 and 7/22, all situated at Amani Kondalampatti Village, Salem South Taluk, Indira Nagar area, Salem-636010, and to ensure that no further obstruction, encroachment, construction or development of any nature whatsoever is permitted therein by any person, protection so as to preserve the said pathway exclusively for public use and to enable free and unhindered access until it connects with the Salem-Namakkal Bypass Road and let it for public use.

ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by S.M.Subramaniam J.) With reference to the relief sought for in the Writ Petition, the learned Additional Government Pleader would submit that the enforcement actions are initiated to remove the obstructions caused by dumping movables and by constructing a small compound wall. The photographs produced by the learned Additional Government Pleader would show that the obstructions are visible and the public street with these obstructions cannot be made available for public use.
In view of the said factum, the respondents are directed to remove all obstructions movables, as well as the compound wall constructed and ensure that the street is made available for public use free from encroachments and obstructions. The said exercise is directed to be completed within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of.
