Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to make all the public temples in the State of Tamil Nadu accessible for persons with disability.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Acting Chief Justice) We have heard Ms.Balamuki, learned counsel for Mr.R.Prabhakaran, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.A.Edwin Prabakar, learned State Government Pleader for the respondents 1 to 4.

2. The petitioner seeks a direction to the respondents to make all the public temples in Tamil Nadu accessible to the differently abled persons.

3. Learned State Government Pleader produced a communication of the first respondent dated 13.01.2023, in response to the communication of the second respondent dated 29.10.2022, ordering to make necessary facilities, in 74 temples, for the different abled persons.

4. Recording the above said communication, the writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, W.M.P.No.6960 of 2020 is closed.
