Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue Writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondents to consider the petitioner's Representation dated 17.02.2020 and further direct the 1st to 3rd Respondent to Take necessary action and Conduct Kumbabisekam at "ThiruKalyana Varadharaja Perumal Koil, Situated at Kaladipet, Thiruvottiyur, Chennai-600 019".

O R D E R

The petitioner has sought a mandamus directing the respondents i.e. Officials of the Hindu Religious & Charitable Endowment Department as well as the Executive Officer of the ThiruKalyana Varadharaja Perumal Koil at Thiruvottiyur/R3 to take action in conducting Kumbabisekam for the aforesaid temple. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

He has also filed a representation dated 17.02.2020 to the same effect.

2. Mr.Prathap, who confirms that the representation has been received by the authorities, would assure the Court that the same will be considered by the first respondent/Commissioner and, after hearing the petitioner, suitable orders would be passed. In doing so, as expeditiously as possible, the authority shall bear in mind the situation forced by the present on-going pandemic as well as all recent Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that have been issued in this regard.

3. With this, the mandamus sought stands achieved and the writ petition is closed. No costs.
