This writ petition has been filed for direction to the respondents to select and appoint the petitioner to the post of Typist in pursuant to the notification dated 27.04.2012. 2.

Heard, the learned counsel appearing for respondents. 3.

The respondents had issued notification dated 27.04.2012 for appointment by direct recruitment to the post of Typist, Junior Assistant, etc for the years 2007-2008 to 2012-2013. The petitioner had applied for the post of Typist under Women non-priority category. She attended the exam and she scored 207 marks in the written examination. However, the petitioner was not called for certificate verification. Therefore, she submitted representation.

On perusal of the counter filed by the respondents revealed that the petitioner has not acquired the technical qualification in Typewriting with Senior Grade in both Tamil and English. The technical qualification of the candidate is mentioned as Typewriting with Senior 2/4

Grade only in English. The selection has been made with reference to the rules of reservation and with reference to notification for the posts included in Group-IV services. Therefore, she has not reached her turn for selection. However, in view of the receipt of many similar petitions in the Grievance Cell, the respondents decided to verify the original certificates to find the correctness of the claim. Since the petitioner's certificate was in order, she was called for counselling on 29.04.2013 and she was selected to Agriculture Department. Subsequently, she was given appointment in the Agriculture Department and she was posted as Typist by an order dated 12.07.2013.

Recording the above, this writ petition is closed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
