ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the second respondent to dispose of the petitioner's petition dated 10.11.2025 submitted against the third respondent under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007, (in short "Senior Citizens Act"), within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. The petitioner claims to be a senior citizen. He has lodged a complaint against the third respondent under the Senior Citizens Act on 10.11.2025. The petitioner claims that evidence was recorded in the said petition. But, till date, no final orders are passed by the second respondent.

3. Mr.K.Surendran, learned Additional Government Pleader, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2. Since no adverse orders are passed against the third respondent, notice to the third respondent in this writ petition is dispensed with.

4. No prejudice will be caused to the second respondent if a direction is issued to the second respondent to dispose of the petition dated 10.11.2025 filed by the petitioner, on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the objections of the third respondent, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the second respondent

to pass final orders, on merits and in accordance with law, on the petitioner's petition dated 10.11.2025 submitted under the Senior Citizens Act, after hearing the objections of the third respondent, and after giving due consideration to the supporting documents filed by the respective parties, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the aforesaid representation of the petitioner. No Costs.
