Respondent Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to renew the lease of the petitioner's shop at Hasthampatti Uzhavar Sandhai, measuring to an extent of 50 sq.ft and permit the petitioner to continue to run his Tea Shop and canteen at Uzhavar Sandhai, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 27.02.2018.

Mr.D.Suriyanarayanan, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. The petitioner is running a Tea stall in a place, which was let out on lease by the respondent. The lease period expires on 31.03.2018. Therefore, the petitioner made a request for extension of the lease period through his representation dated 27.02.2018.
3. The grievance of the petitioner is that the said request has not been considered so far, even though the lease period is going to end by 31.03.2018. It is further stated by the petitioner that he is continuously paying the lease amount without any default all these years.

Considering the above stated facts and circumstances, this writ petition is disposed of, only by directing the respondent to consider the request of the petitioner for extension of lease and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
