Today, 15.03.2024, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the second respondent submitted that the petitioner was passed away on 16.05.2023 and the death certificate to that effect was issued by the Department of Public Health and Preventive Medicine dated 13.03.2024.

2. In view of the submission made by the learned counsel for the second respondent, this writ petition is dismissed as abated. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
