JUDGMENT

(Made by D. KRISHNAKUMAR, J.) The appellant has filed writ petition in WP No.25153 of 2021 for a Writ of Declaration declaring the actions of the respondents in not allowing the petitioner club to conduct the 13 card game / syndicate bridge with stakes as illegal and arbitrary, and consequently, direct the respondents not to interfere with the cards rooms of the appellant's cultural club.

2. The learned Single Judge had dismissed the writ petition directing the respondents not to interfere in the operation of the appellant's club so long as the activities are conducted in a legal manner. However, liberty was granted to the respondents to proceed against the club if any illegal activities are done.

3. We have gone through the order passed by the learned Single Judge. We do not see any illegality or infirmity in the said order, warranting our interference. So long as the appellant carries out any activity, viz., conduct of 13 card game/syndicate etc. which is

permitted by law, the respondents shall not disturb the business of the appellant. The appellant shall also cooperate with the authorities by producing true and proper records about the conduct of its business.

4. The writ appeal stands dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
