O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct first respondent to dispose of the revision dated 10.04.2023 preferred by the petitioner against the order of the second respondent dated 15.03.2023 bearing Pa.Mu.No. 4797/ 2022/Aa1 under Section 13 of the Tamil Nadu Patta Pass Book Act 1983 within a time frame.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the official respondents and perused the materials available on record.

3. Since no adverse order is passed against the private respondent, notice to the private respondent/R4 is dispensed with.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner

preferred revision against the order dated 15.03.2023 bearing Pa.Mu.No. 4797/ 2022/Aa1 passed by the second respondent, before the first respondent. The first respondent issued notice to the petitioner as well as the fourth respondent herein. They appeared before the first respondent and made oral submissions as well as written submissions. Since the first respondent did not dispose of the revision, the petitioner sent a reminder on 26.12.2023. Since the first respondent has not disposed of the revision till now, the petitioner is constrained to file this writ petition.

Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, this Court directs the first respondent to consider the submissions of both the parties and after giving opportunity of hearing to all the parties, if already not heard, dispose the petitioner's revision dated 10.04.2023 on merits and in accordance with law, if already not disposed of. The abovesaid exercise shall be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the abovesaid direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.
