Contempt Petition filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Court Act 1971 read with Rule 4 of the Contempt of Court Rules, High Court, Madras, 1975 to punish the Respondents herein for willful disobedience of the order dated 26th June 2014 passed by this Hon'ble Court in O.A.No.453 of 2014 in C.S.No.374 of 2014.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, and learned counsel appearing for the respondent.

2. This contempt petition has been filed to punish the Respondents herein for willful disobedience of the order dated 26th June 2014 passed by this Hon'ble Court in O.A.No.453 of 2014 in C.S.No.374 of 2014

3. The daughter has filed this Contempt Petition against her mother and sister, alleging that they have not paid her the rent payable to her landlord as agreed in the consent order in O.A.No.453 of 2014 in C.S.No.374 of 2014 on 26/06/2014.

4. Today, when the matter was called, Mr.R.Thiagarajan, learned counsel appearing for the alleged contemnor has handed over two cheques bearing Nos.090355, dated 15/09/2016 for a sum of Rs.16,20,000/- in the name of Sandip Batra and 090356 dated 15/09/2016 for a sum of Rs.4,30,484/- to the learned counsel for the petitioner under acknowledgment.

5. In view of the above, this contempt petition is closed with liberty to the contemnor to move the concerned

Court for modification of the order in O.A.No.453 of 2014 dated 26/06/2014, if so advised.
