ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to register the case against the accused on the basis of the petitioner's complaint dated 21.04.2016 and investigate the same according to law.

2. It is seen that the Director General of Police has issued a circular dated 12.03.2013 to all the Police Officers to register the case against the persons, who kill stray dogs and pet dogs.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that one Kanniappan @ Masthan regularly kills stray dogs and pet dogs in an inebriated state.

4.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent, who would submit that the complaint dated 21.04.2016 has been sent by post to the respondent.

5. In view of the above submission, the petitioner is directed to appear in person before the respondent police along with this order and lodge a fresh complaint, containing the very same contents as stated in the previous complaint dated 21.04.2016. On receipt of such complaint, the same shall be enquired into and action be taken thereon in accordance with law, if it discloses the commission of a cognizable offence or drop action otherwise. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
