This petition has been filed to direct the respondent herein to register a complaint dated 17.02.2015 given by the petitioner and investigate the matter in accordance with law. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State. 3.Today, the respondent has filed a status report wherein, in paragraph Nos.2,3 and 4 it is stated as follows:- "2.I submit that the brief fact of the case is as follows:- On 14.02.2015, based on the information from Chettinad Health City Hospital and Research Institute, Kelambakkam, Kancheepuram District, I went to the hospital and enquired one Tr.Selvakumar - who is the complainant in Cr.No.65 of 2015, who is working as Sub Inspector of Police, CID Security Branch, Chennai, stated that on 14.02.2015 the complainant and his family members i.e., 1 Tmt.Bharani - who is the wife of complainant https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
2.Kirishka - who is the daughter of the complainant 3.Tmt.Poongodi - who is the mother of the complainant were going to their native place Choonambedu in a Maruthi Wagon R bearing Reg.TN 06 L 0083 while so, at 12.00 O'clock near Kovalam Semmanchery Kuppam, a Hyundai Verna Car bearing Reg.No.TN 60K 0009 was driven by the accused in Cr.No.65 of 2015 in rash and negligent manner and dashed against the car driven by the complainant. The complainant, and his wife and mother were sustained injuries and admitted in the above said hospital and discharged after 7 days. Hence this complaint. 3.I submit that based on the complaint of Tr.Selvakumar I have registered a case in E-8 Kelambakkam Police Station in Crime No.65/2015 under Sections 279, 337 I.P.C., on 14.02.2015 which is subsequently altered into 338 I.P.C., after obtaining the wound certificate from the Doctor on 09.05.2015.
4.I further submit that alter recording the statements of the 10 witnesses and elaborate investigation I have filed the charge sheet before learned Judicial Magistrate No.1, Chengalpet, Kanchipuram District on 09.05.2015 and it is yet to be taken on file."
4.In view of the above, no positive direction can be issued as sought for by the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to work out his remedies in the manner known to law.
