2. The petitioner claims to be the 'Dharmakartha' of Sri Mariamman Koil and in connection with the temple festival, he wants to organize a song and dance programme on 05.05.2015 and in this regard, submitted an application on 15.04.2015 to the 2nd respondent and since, he has not been favoured with any response, came forward to file this writ petition.
3. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has drawn the attention of the Court to paragraph No.7 of the affidavit filed in support of this writ petition and would submit that while conducting the song and dance programme, there will not be any law and order problem and no vulgarity or obscenity will be there and prays for appropriate orders.

4. This Court heard the submissions of Mr.V.Subbiah, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice for the respondents.
5. Taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the application/representation, this Court, directs the 2nd respondent to consider the application/representation dated 15.04.2015, submitted by the petitioner, on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders, as expeditiously as possible and not later than 02.05.2015 and inform the decision taken to the petitioner forthwith.
