ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed seeking to direct the 1st respondent to, in turn, direct the 2nd respondent not to harass the petitioner without following the due process of law, by considering the representation dated 16.02.2026.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that the petitioner, who is an Advocate by profession, has been engaged by one Ganesh, who has been arrayed as an accused in Crime No.105 of 2026 registered on the file of the 2nd respondent police for the offences under Sections 310(2) and 311 of BNS and upon receiving information that the accused visited the petitioner's office, the respondent police went to the petitioner's office in search of the said Ganesh and that the petitioner is not an accused and that the respondent-police are not unnecessarily harassing the petitioner.

3. Recording the above submissions made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), this criminal original petition stands disposed of. It is made clear that the respondent-police shall not unnecessarily harass the petitioner and his family members.
