Respondent Prayer: Petition filed Under Section 482 of Cr.P.C to direct the respondent to grant permission and provide police protection to the petitioner's village to conduct the cultural programme (Aadal Paadal) on the eve of temple festival of the Arulmigu Vallidevasena Samedha, Arulmigu Subramaniyar Temple situate at Mudasalodai Village, Chidhambarm Taluk, Cuddalore District which is scheduled to be conducted on 27.05.2018 and 28.05.2018 based on the representation of the petitioner dated 18.05.2018. ORDER

This petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders for conducting temple festival and cultural programme.

The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that even though the petitioner has submitted representation before the respondent well in advance seeking permission and police protection for conducting temple festival and also for conducting cultural programme, so far the respondent police has not passed any order and hence he requests to direct the respondent police to dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioner at an early date.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) has submitted that because of the law and order problem the representation is kept pending.

Considering the aforesaid submissions, the respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law before the date of the programme and intimate the same to the petitioner. 5.

With the above observation and direction, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
