O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent to pay interest @ 18% p.a for the period of delay from 01.04.2023 to 01.11.2024 in paying the amounts paid towards his terminal benefits namely EPF Employee's Contribution, Gratuity and 01.04.2023 to 30.10.2024 towards Encashment of leaves and Commuted Value pension.

2. In the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition, it had been contended that the petitioner had retired from service on attaining the age of superannuation on 31.03.2023 from the respondent. It is contended that EPF, Gratuity, Encashment of leave and Commutation value pension amount were disbursed only on 30.10.2024 and 01.11.2024 to the petitioner.

3. A direction is issued to the respondents that since it is a delayed payment, they should also pay interest @ 6% p.a. from the date of retirement till the date of actual disbursement. Necessary orders shall be passed within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
