Mr.A.R.Balaji, Government Advocate-R1 to 3 Mr.P.Mano Rajan Standing Counsel - R4 Order The Contempt Petition has been filed seeking to punish the respondents for willful disobedience of the orders passed by this Court in W.P.No.31218 of 2025 dated 20.08.2025.

t 2. It is informed that the order passed in W.P.No.31218 of 2025 dated 20.08.2025 has been partly complied with, inasmuch as the terminal

benefits have been disbursed to the petitioner. However, interest has been paid only at the rate of 17.1% per annum. The respondents have challenged the order dated 20.08.2025 passed by this Court and the writ appeal is pending consideration.

3. Considering the fact that the petitioner has been paid the principal amount along with a part of the interest, further orders in the contempt shall await the outcome of the writ appeal. It is open to the petitioner to raise all contentions before the Division Bench with reference to the issue of interest.

4. In these circumstances, keeping the contempt petition pending would serve no useful purpose. Hence, this Contempt Petition is closed granting liberty to revive the same after disposal of the writ appeal. 10-06-2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order SRN
