ORDER

The petitioners are the residents of Irumbuliyur, Tambaram, Chennai. They have only one road viz., Tambaram Old GST Road, which was used to connect the GST main road starting from 10ft to 22 ft and the school and college buses have to come and go via this route only and so as the Ambulance services also. While so, a Pentecost Mission located in the above said location will conduct an International Convention program yearly and this year it is scheduled to be held from 06.03.2019 and for five days from morning 7 a.m., to 10 p.m. The petitioners state that during this program, they would gather together in large number and put stalls in the road side and thereby creating heavy traffic and great disturbance to the general public. According to the petitioner, since the public examinations were https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

scheduled during this period, it will be great difficulty for the students to go to school on time because of the heavy traffic due to this convention program. Hence, they have submitted a representations dated 25.02.2019 and 26.02.2019 to the respondents Police not to give permission to conduct such convention program during the examination period. Since, no orders have been passed, the petitioner has filed the present petition with the aforesaid prayer.

2.Heard Mr.A.Raghuraman, the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.C.Raghavan, Government Advocate (Crl.side) for the respondents.

3.Considering the facts and circumstance of the case, without going into merits of the case, this Court directs the respondents police to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 25.02.2019 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

4.With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
