Respondent Prayer: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a writ of mandamus, directing the respondent to give permission to the petitioner to conduct a Cultural program schedule to be held on 28.04.2015 at Mettu Theru Ulipuram Post Gangavalli Taluk Salem District by considering the petitioner representation dated 21.4.2015.

For Petitioner : M/s.Karan and Uday For Respondent : Mr.Durai Solaimalai Additional Government Pleader.

By consent, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner claims to be one of the committee members of Shri Arulmigu Mari Amman Temple and he submitted an application dated 21.04.2015 to the respondent seeking permission to conduct the temple festival, which includes a song and dance programme and since, no response is forthcoming, came forward to file this writ petition.

3. Heard the submissions of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.Durai Solaimalai, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice for the respondent.

4. This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the application/representation, directs the respondent to consider the application/representation dated 21.04.2015, submitted by the petitioner, on merits and in https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

accordance with law and pass orders, as expeditiously as possible and not later than 02.05.2015 and inform the decision taken to the petitioner forthwith.

5. The writ petition is disposed of, accordingly. No costs.
