This petition has been filed to direct the respondent to register the complaint dated 16.06.2015 lodged by the petitioner. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State. 3.It is seen that in the facebook account of one Radhika Ragu, the photo of one Purushothaman, an accused has been shown and next to which, the photo of his minor daughter Geetha has also been posted. Therefore, the grand mother of Geetha by name B.Kamalam lodged a complaint dated 16.06.2015, which has been enquired into and closed by the Inspector of Police, Cyber Crime Cell, on 07.07.2015 on the ground that it does not contain any criminal offence.

4.This Court viewed the picture. There was no necessity to post the photo of the minor girl next to the photo of her father who is alleged to be an accused. Apart from Information Technology Act provisions, Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and Tamil Nadu Harassment of Women Act may also stand attracted. Therefore, the closure report submitted by the Inspector of Police, Cyber Crime Cell, Coimbatore City, dated 07.07.2015 is quashed. The Deputy Commissioner of Police, Cyber Crime Cell, Coimbatore is directed to assign this case to another competent officer who shall take action in accordance with law.

5.With the above direction, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
