O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the Special Court for Exclusive Trial of POCSO Act cases, Villupuram, to expedite the trial in Spl.S.C.No.178 of 2019. 2.Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is the father of the minor girl "XXX". One Kumar, S/o. Sadayan, kidnapped his minor daughter and a complaint was given to the Police and based on the complaint, a case in Crime No.267 of 2018 was registered by the respondent. The respondent, after completing the investigation, filed the final report and the case was taken up for trial in Spl.S.C.No.178 of 2019 on the file of the Special Court for Exclusive Trial of POCSO Act cases, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Villupuram. Despite the case being taken on file on 26.02.2020, there is no progress in the case and the trial has not yet commenced. The present petition has been filed seeking for expediting the trial in Spl.S.C.No.178 of 2019 on the file of the Special Court for Exclusive Trial of POCSO Act cases, Villupuram. 3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that there are 22 witnesses in this case and the case has been posted for examination of witnesses on 10.03.2022. 4.The petitioner is the father of the victim and he seeks for speeding up of the trial in the light of the rights of a victim. The learned trial Judge is directed to complete the trial in Spl.S.C.No.178 of 2019 as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four months from 10.03.2022. 5.With this direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
