O R D E R

Mr.A.Kumar, learned Additional Advocate General, assisted by Mr.S.Sathish, learned Standing Counsel fairly submitted that the orders dated 15.10.2019 and 29.09.2020 passed by this Court in this petition have been duly complied with. He would further submit that now the rent payable by the writ petitioners will be deducted with effect from 01.07.2016 and that the proposal has also been approved by the Salem Municipal Corporation and that suitable orders will be issued in 10 days' time.

2.Mr.G.Sankaran, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, fairly accepting the said submission made by the learned Additional Advocate General, submitted that the matter may be closed.

3.In view of the fact that the proposal sent by the Commissioner, has been accepted by the Salem Municipal Council, this Contempt Petition stands closed.
