Mr.R.Govindasamy, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The petitioner seeks for a mandamus directing the respondents to consider his application dated 30.01.2018, wherein and whereby, he sought for survey of the property of the Poojai Padithurai Pillaiyar Temple comprised in Survey No.96-H and 96/1 and Resurvey R.S.No.98/271, 272 of Kudavasal Village, Kudavasal Taluk, Tiruvarur District.

4. The grievance of the petitioner before this Court is that the said request has not been considered by the respondents so far. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the second respondent to consider and decide the same. Thus, this writ petition is disposed of, only with a direction to the second respondent to consider the application of the petitioner dated 30.01.2018 and pass orders on the same, on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the petitioner as well as the rival claimants and the other interested parties, if any. Such exercise shall be done by the second respondent within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
