By consent, this Writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner industry is involved in the manufacture of steel rods, etc. and has been sanctioned with High Tension Service Connection in H.T.Sc.No.049094260050. Even though the petitioner has already paid a sum of Rs.7,10,75,726/- (Rupees Seven Crores Ten Lakhs Seventy Five Thousand Seven Hundred and Twenty Six only) towards security deposit to the respondents, the second respondent by letter No.SE/EEDC/Erode/DFC/AO/HT/A1/F.ACCD/2017, demanded an additional security deposit of Rs.1,67,79,084/- (Rupees One Crore Sixty Seven Lakhs Seventy Nine Thousand and Eighty Four only) to be paid by the petitioner, in one lumpsum, on or before 22.05.2017. To pay the balance additional security deposit of Rs.1,67,79,084/- in twelve monthly instalments along with the regular current consumption charges, the petitioner has given representation to the second respondent on 24.04.2017. Since the said representation has not been considered till date, the petitioner has come before this Court by way of this Writ Petition.

3. Heard Mr.K.Seshadri, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.S.K.Rameshuwar, learned standing counsel appearing for the respondents.

This Court, in similar circumstances, in W.P.No.19106 of 2016 dated 07.06.2016, granted permission to the petitioner therein to pay the additional security deposit in six equal monthly instalments along with regular current consumption charges. Following the same, this Court also permits the petitioner to pay the balance additional security deposit in six equal monthly instalments along with the regular current consumption charges, commencing from second week of June 2017.

5. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
