PRAYER: Civil Revision Petition filed under Article 227 of Constitution of India, praying to allow this civil revision petition in FCOP.No.92 of 2021 on the file of the Family Court, Thiruvannamalai and pass an order of speedy disposal to dispose the case.

ORDER

The Civil Revision Petition is filed seeking a direction to Family Court, Tiruvannamalai to dispose the petition for divorce filed by the petitioner/husband in F.C.O.P.No.92 of 2021 within a time frame fixed by this Court.

2. In view of the limited prayer made in this revision, this Court is 1/4

inclined to dispose of the same even without notice to the respondent.

3. The petitioner herein filed a divorce application against the respondent originally before the V Additional Family Court, Chennai in H.M.O.P.No.2989 of 2020 and the same was subsequently transferred to Family Court, Tiruvannamalai and re-numbered as F.C.O.P.No.92 of 2021.

4. A perusal of the adjudication sheet filed in the typed set of papers would suggest that respondent herein filed an application under Section 24 of Hindu Marriage Act and the same is pending enquiry along with the main original petition from December 2022 onwards without any progress. Therefore, this Court is inclined to direct the Family Court, Tiruvannamalai to take up the petition filed by the respondent for interim maintenance under Section 24 of Hindu Marriage Act and dispose of the same as expeditiously as possible. After disposal of the said application, the Family Court, Tiruvannamalai is directed to take up the main original petition filed by the petitioner and dispose of the same in an expeditious manner. 2/4

5. With these directions, this Civil Revision Petition is disposed of. No costs.
