By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. This writ petition has been filed seeking to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 20.12.2021.
3. The case of the petitioner in brief:
The petitioner was working as Professor in Microbiology, Kilpauk Medical College, Chennai and she retired from service on superannuation on 31.03.2006. The petitioner made representation dated 20.12.2021 the respondents to revise her pension, as stipulated in G.O.Ms.No.236, Finance (Pay Cell) Department dated 12.07.2018 with monetary effect from 01.07.2018. But it was not considered. Hence this writ petition.
4. A perusal of the records shows that the representation dated 20.12.2021 was addressed to " The Secretary to Government (Pay Cell) Department, Secretariat, St. George Fort, Chennai 600 009" and not addressed to "The Secretary to Government, Finance (pay Cell) Department".
Therefore, without giving representation to the concerned authorities, this court cannot direct them to dispose the representation at an early date.
