Respondents PRAYER:- Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus to call for the records of the detention dated 08.03.2021 in C.M.P.No.7/Goonda/ Salem City/2021 on the file of the second respondent herein, and quash the same and direct the respondents herein to produce the body of the detenu Sathish @ Sathish Kumar, son of Ponnusamy, aged about 42 years, who is now confined in Central Prison, Salem, before this Court and set him at liberty.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] The petitioner challenges the impugned order of detention in C.M.P.No.7/Goonda/Salem City/2021 dated 08.03.2021, detaining her husband as "Goonda" under Section 2(f) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) reports that the order of detention passed against the detenu has been revoked by the Government by its order in G.O.Rt.No.1776, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XIV) Department, dated 15.04.2021 and he has also produced a copy of the Government Order. Recording the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
