O R D E R

The present criminal original petition has been filed to direct the respondent to register a case on the complaint dated 23.06.2015.

2. On 23.06.2015, at about 7.40 p.m., while the petitioner was campaigning in Seniamman Koil Street, near Chinna Stanely Hospital, along with his team on the Tata Ace vehicle, the petitioner was attacked by some unidentified AIADMK party men, who were in huge numbers in that area. They pelted stones on the petitioner and threatened the petitioner and his team. Hence, the petitioner lodged a complaint with respondent police. Since no action has been taken on the said complaint, the petitioner has come forward with the present petition.

3. When the matter was taken up for consideration, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the Joint Commissioner has already conducted enquiry on the complaint given by the petitioner and closed the complaint https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

stating that the allegation made in the complaint is false. However, the First Bench of this court has directed the Joint Commissioner to conduct enquiry. And as per the directions of this court in Crl.O.P.No.1881 of 2015, the Joint Commissioner has conducted investigation and has closed the complaint. The Additional Public Prosecutor has also produced a copy of the Closure Report.

4. In view of the submissions made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Court again cannot given any direction to the respondent police and recording the submissions of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
