Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 4 to correct the old survey Number in all the revenue records as 384/2B1 instead of 389 PT for the property of the petitioner consisting the land measuring 1314 sq.ft. comprised in Block No.28 Old S.No.384/2B1 T.S.No.86 situated at Korattur Ward and Village, Ambattur Town and Taluk, Chennai District and consequently, to issue the new patta to petitioner based on her representation dated 30.10.2024 and 31.01.2025 within any reasonable time as this Honourable court may deem fit.

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents, particularly, the fourth respondent to deal with the application submitted by the petitioner on 08.01.2025 wherein the petitioner is seeking for correction of the old survey numbers in all the revenue records as "384/2B1" instead of "389PT".

2. Heard Mr.S.R.Karthikeyan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for respondents.

3. Learned Additional Government Pleader, on instructions, submitted that the application submitted by the petitioner is pending and it is under consideration.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the materials placed before this Court, it is seen that based on the OnLine application submitted by the petitioner, already the name of the petitioner has been included in the TSLR. However, during that process, there was a mistake in the old survey number, which is sought to be corrected by virtue of a representation dated 31.01.2025. In view of the same, there shall be a direction to the fourth respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 31.01.2025 and pass appropriate orders within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
