The petitioner has filed a representation as early as on 16.07.2013 directing the respondents i.e., the Commissioner and Joint Commissioner of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department, to take appropriate action to redress grievances raised by him in connection with Srinivasa Perumal and Vedantha Desigar Thirukoils in Anna Salai, Chengalpattu Town (temples).

2. The writ petition has filed by him as a member of the Balija Kavarai Chettiyar community and devotee of the aforesaid https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

temple. He alleges various procedural irregularities in the maintenance of, as well as the protection of the assets of the temples and has sought correction of the same.

3. The representation has been forwarded by the Commissioner to the Joint Commissioner under Na.Ka.N.40595 of 2013 dated 06.08.2013.

However, admittedly, the Joint Commissioner who has been directed to look into the same and take appropriate action has done nothing in this regard, thereafter. Let the petitioner be called upon for a hearing and orders passed by the Joint Commissioner, within a period of eight (8) weeks from today.

4. The writ petition stands disposed in the aforesaid terms. No costs.
